"There is Sunshine in My Soul Today!" (February 12, 2018)

This has been the best week!

We have had some serious miracles and things are really starting to pick up in Rochester. We have an investigator who lives in Zumbrota, which is 20 miles away from our main area in Rochester, so we don't make it out there a lot. We have an investigator there who met the Sisters on temple Square a few months ago. He has since read the entire book of Alma and is now tackling the rest of the Book of Mormon. We don't make it up there a lot, and they just referred him to us a couple weeks ago. On Saturday, out of the blue he texted us and said "I'll be in Rochester this afternoon." So we were able to meet up with him at the church, and get a member to come with us, and we had a great lesson about the Book of Mormon and the restoration and it was incredible. We also had a few other lessons with our other great investigators, and members were able to come, and it was great.

Funny moments:
As part of the transition from our dinosaur phones to smart phones, this week there was a SIM card mix up in Salt Lake and every phone in the Rochester Zone except for ours and the zone leaders stopped working, and they couldn't make or receive calls, and we were trying to get in contact with people and were worried our entire zone had been wiped out.
We got to teach Elders Quorum! They got up and said "Welcome to Elders Quorum Brethren...and sisters" haha. But we had a really good discussion about missionary work and how to do member missionary work and we are really excited for all the help we are receiving from members right now.

The other exciting thing is that I hit my one year mark this past Thursday. So for all of you who still read my emails thanks for being such troopers and hanging in there as my grammar slowly deteriorates andmy vocabulary diminishes as Spanish takes over. It's funny that now when I pray in English, I say it in my head in Spanish then I have to translate it into English to say it outloud.

This week I have been inspired by the words my great-grandfather, Bert Dickson, wrote home during his mission. This truly has been the adventure of a lifetime.
"The past year has been one of the most successful and joyous years I have ever spent. A testimony of the everlasting gospel has enlarged and enlightened my soul. For me to stop and think and ponder over the mercies of God, wake my soul to praising my Redeemer for his mercy and goodness towards me. I am grateful for His placing me on the straight and narrow road. I firmly made up my mind the day I received my call to preach the gospel that I would make a new leaf in my life history and do those things that I was called to do.

I came, and from that day to this, my knowledge of the gospel has increased. The Lord has poured his blessings upon me. I rejoice in this Latter-day work and can see the hand of the Lord in it. We are all working for the same place, but let us remember it is only obtained through obedience."

In the MTC  we loved to sing "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today" and that most definitely describes my mission so far, even when it gets dark, even when things are hard, even if the sun literally doesn't come out for days at a time, there is sunshine in my soul because of Christ!! And I sing praises to my Redeemer for his mercy.

Have a lovely week!

"To act for themselves, and not be acted upon" (February 5, 2018)

My bff Choco, he likes to sit on our
laps while we write emails :)

The exciting news of the week is that our mission now has smartphones! We got them at a conference in Bloomington this past week, and the rest of the mission will be getting them at the end of this month. We share them as a companionship, and it's so nice to be able to message people and stay in contact with them throughout the day even when we don't have wifi. We received a lot of trainings on this conference about the purpose of smartphones, and talked a bit about being pioneers in missionary work, or what I have dubbed, boldly going where no one has gone before. Using technology and facebook is still relatively new to the missionary force, and they are still working out the kinks. And there are some potential hazards and dangers, but there are also so many benefits.
Something I really loved that we talked about a lot is that smartphones, technology, facebook, etc., they are tools. And they are tools for each and every one of us, missionary or not. And because it's a tool, it doesn't always need to be on, because you don't need to use it for every task you need to accomplish. We are told to always think of our purpose and our need for turning on the phone, then turn it on, do it, and then turn it off, and put it away. Because many, many of us, myself included, have wasted so much time on our devices. One of the greatest principles of the gospel is our agency. We actually came to the earth to have our agency and to have the ability to make decisions. That is why we chose this plan and shouted for joy in heaven when we heard it. Our ability to choose, to act and not be acted upon, is one of our greatest gifts. "They have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon" (2 Nephi 2:26) And when we let our phones control our lives, we are being acted upon, and being controlled by this object that should only be a tool to help us carry out our purpose at the moment, not a distraction that monopolizes our time. So this is something I would like to invite all of you to try this week. Before you go to use your phone, stop and think for a second, why am I using this? And if it is because you are bored, or want to scroll, or another reason that is not necesssary, stop and think about something you could do to use that time and your time more effectively. This is something I am working on too right now, so let me know how it goes!

I think I talked about last week how we were working really hard to meet our zone goals, and we had some crazy miracles on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we were all inviting everyone we could to be baptized, and we were able to meet every single one of our zone goals. On Wednesday night we were really sad because we added up all the numbers and realized we were short one baptismal date. But as we counted them again and went over the names of everyone the zone had invited, we realized we had missed someone, and we had actually met our goal right on the nose and surpassed all the other ones! We really focused this month on setting realistic goals and making specific plans to achieve them and it worked! We are so excited.

Some fun adventures this week:
We gave service at an event called "Baconfest"... and you can probably guess what that was. We were helping serve food and definitely smelled like bacon the rest of the night.
The night before our conference drove up part the way and were able to stay over with the Lakeville Hermanas and it was so fun to see them, and see the members we lived with there again. To this conference we were driving up a car of an area that was closed recently, and I most definitely managed to lose the keys in the 15 minutes before we were supposed to leave. But it's ok, we said a lot of prayers, and God helped us to find them and remind me that I had put them in my pocket for safekeeping.

Have a safe, warm, wonderful week!

"God is anxiously waiting to answer you prayers and fulfill your dreams" (January 29, 2018)

I have learned so much this week, where to even start.

We have met so many amazing people. One man, Ben, we started talking to when we were getting gas. Turns out he's really interested in religion, and he has already read the whole Book of Mormon, what are the odds? We invited him to pray about it, and he is totally open to having missionaries come over to his house in Prior Lake so we were able to refer him to the missionaries there. Open your mouth and it shall be filled!

This week we met Don. He was a potential in our area book, and we both really wanted to go try to see him. We had already stopped by a couple times with no luck, but on Friday, we were going to go see him and he was oustide his house breaking ice off his driveway. So we jumped out of the car and ran over to go talk to him. (We love it when people are outside because then they can't close the door, we can usually get a few good minutes of talking to them). Well we ended up talking to Don for over an hour. He is in his seventies, and he loves family history. He knows all about familysearch and all the other programs, and loves doing family history and discovering more about his ancestors. His wife passed away last year, and it was her passion, so he has picked it up to carry on her legacy. We had a good time talking to him about family history, and we wanted to transition into the restoration and the plan of salvation. He told us he had a Mormon friend in college, and that he already has a copy of the Book of Mormon, and it seemed like he was going to tell us he wasn't interested in hearing more of our message. My mind was frantically racing of what to say to this man to help him open up a little more and to give us an opportunity to testify. Then the Holy Ghost immediately brought to my mind to ask "Do you have any questions about what you already know about our church we could help answer?" I KNOW that was inspired, because he began to ask questions that testified about the restoration. He asked us about how churches change over time saying "for example, I know that my church isn't perfect, because we don't have the authority that Jesus Christ established on the earth." And we talked about the apostasy and the restoration of truth. He told us sometimes when he is doing family history he feels guided to certain people, like he is receiving help from somewhere to do the work and find the people he needs to find. And we were able to testify about the Holy Ghost. He asked about what we think about what happens to people who don't have the chance to hear about Jesus Christ while in this life, and we were able to testify that that is exactly why we do family history, and teach him about the Plan of Salvation. That God gives all his children a chance, and all will have the chance to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. He talked about his wife, and how he prays for her, and his children pray for her, and his grandchildren pray for her, and sometimes he feels like she is guiding him in certain ways, and still helping with their family history. And we were able to testify of eternal families, and that he and his wife can be together forever, because of the great plan of our God. And he was crying and we were crying, and it was the most amazing lesson I've ever had on someones driveway. He was still kind of reluctant to make any commitments, but he was willing to pray to know if what we taught was true. I cannot wait to go back and teach him again. Please, please, pray for Don that he will pray and feel the spirit.

I have been learning a lot and been very humbled this week by the way church leadership works. We have attended many stake meetings and ward councils the past few weeks, and been working with the other missionaries, and I have been so impressed by two things about church leadership: 1. The perfect organization, 2. It is always done out of love.
It is just so impressive that the church is run by ordinary people doing extraordinary things because we are on the errand of the Lord. And every council, whenever another person or another need is discussed, I am in complete awe of the love that is genuinely felt towards that individual or necessity.

This last week of the month our zone has been working really, really hard to meet our goals because we got off to kind of a slow start with transfers in the middle of the month. This last week we realized we were really far away, so this week we have been giving it all we've got. We needed 46 new investigators, which was more than we had found the rest of the month, but yesterday when the numbers came in we found 47 new people this past week! We had a zone fast because we needed something like 25 people to come to church, which was a big stretch, and we ended up having 27 people come to church. Setting inspired goals and working hard to achieve them works! And it has been such an exciting week because we have all been so excited about trying to reach our goals and seen many mighty miracles.

My mission has given me a huge testimony of goal setting and planning, because without a goal, you don't get anywhere. I was reading a talk by President Monson, with a couple of good quotes.

"The road to anywhere is the road to nowhere...We have been provided divine attributes to guide our destiny. We entered mortality not to float with the moving currents of life, but with the power to think, to reason, and to achieve."

Which lead to another quote by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland.

"God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe."

And I just thought that was so powerful. God wants us to dream. He wants us to have goals and to change the world, but we need to have the faith and we need to work for it, and when we do, He will provide the way. How grateful I am for the wonderful chance to be here and to have the wonderful experience of life.

Thank you all for the love and support! Missionary work is so amazing, and I'm so grateful for every single day, because they are going by faster and faster. Have a wonderful week!!

"Come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and milk without money and without price" (January 22, 2018)

I'm feeling a little sick so this is gonna be a quick one.
We had zone conference this week and it was so great! Thanks to the crazy snowstorm last week we got to meet up with the Lakeville Zone and I got to see mi hija Hermana Hanson and it was so fun! We also got to give a training in zone conference about working with members. Originally our zone leaders were supposed to do it all, but one of them is learning English, so his companion asked us to do half of it, and even though we're both rookies at this whole leadership thing we managed to make something up and pretend like we knew what was going on.

Rochester is so different from all my other areas. We go finding in English sometimes because we cover an English and a Spanish area, and wow people are a way less willing to listen to the gospel in English. In Spanish we always just say "Hi we're sharing a message about Jesus Christ," and 99% of the time they let us in. In English, almost every door we've knocked we've gotten rejected. So finding is really different, and we're still learning, but just trying different approaches and trying to make it as fun as we can.
This week was great. We have been working really hard to go finding and talk to everyone, and we have been trying to listen to the spirit and see miracles and it has been so incredible. On Saturday we were in a little town, Zumbrota, all day long. We had made contact with a lot of less-actives, but hadn't really found anyone we felt needed a message. We were stopping by one last door in an apartment building to try to meet a less active, so we knocked on door 24. No one answered, so we turned around and knocked on the door across the hall, 27. A woman came to the door, and we started sharing a message with her. She invited us in and we started talking, and it was incredible. She is so prepared to receive the gospel. She was telling us how God has helped her overcome addiction, and how she has been looking for answers, and she was so excited to hear about the Book of Mormon. She has been through a lot of hard stuff and is trying to get back on her feet and she is so ready.  We were testifying of the power in our Book of Mormon, and she was so interested. Then when we offered it to her and she kind of tearfully looked at us and said "I don't have any money right now to pay for it" And it was one of the happiest moments of my mission when I was able to say, "We give these away for free! This is the most precious possesion I have and this is why we want to share it with the world."

And I thought of 2 Nephi 9:50 "Come, my brethren, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and milk without money and without price." And I was so happy we could give it to her. I am so excited to start teaching her. The coolest part though was when we got back to the car and looked in our area book, we realized the less active we were looking for actually lived in 22, we had stopped at the wrong door. But I am certain the Holy Ghost clouded our minds just a little bit to help us find the person who needed us that night.
Thank you all for the love and support!

"And the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them" (January 15, 2018)

This week has been so crazy but so good!

We had a snowstorm this week so they moved transfers, but I finally made it to Rochester! And I am loving it here. My new companion is Hermana Davis! She has been out for 14 months, and she is from Spanish Fork Utah. And we both had the same trainer (s/o to Hermana Hughes for being the best mom ever) so we are very alike in how we do missionary work, and just having a blast. It has been a crazy few days, and we don't really know what we're doing, just trying to be good leaders and planners and teachers, but it's been a lot of fun so far and I am SO excited for this transfer.

We had a really cool miracle in Minneapolis before I left. We visited an investigator and her boyfriend who is a member. We have been working with her a lot, and there are a lot of dysfunctional relationships and family problems happening in the household. So two nights before I left, we planned this great lesson to do with her about personal scripture study and we were so excited. Then we got to the lesson, and her and her boyfriend were both home and sat down to talk to us. So my mind was racing thinking "what should we share?" And the Holy Ghost immediately gave me the thought to share the video "Dare to Stand Alone" with President Monson. We had been sharing that video with a lot of members the past week in light of President Monson's passing, and so we went with it. We explained a little how President Monson passed away, and then showed the video. Her boyfriend usually takes over the conversation when he's there, so he started sharing something about standing up for our beliefs. And she was being kind of quiet, so I said "Hermana, what did you think of the video?" And she asked us why we chose to share that video, and we said "well, to honor president monson and we felt like it was something that would help your family tonight." Then she started crying and told us how a few days ago she had been home alone, taking care of their son, who has a lot of behavioral disorders, and felt so overwhelmed, and so alone, and was praying and asking God for help to help her know He was there and not feel alone, then told us she knew our coming and sharing that video was an answer to her prayers. So she was crying and I was crying and everyone was crying I think. And it was incredible. And I was so glad the spirit prompted us to be the answer to her prayer, and that God was able to teach her and witness to her in a way we never could have on our own.

The Rochester ward is fantastic! It is so weird going to church in English, but we still have Sunday School in Spanish, and there are a lot of members who are Hispanic so there is translation. Literally EVERYONE I have met is a doctor. Every single person. We were in ward council, reviewing the stake goals that were sent out, and they used a diagram to explain it and it's a drawing of a heart, and they were all talking about how it was anatomically incorrect and obviously the blood doesnt come out the top through the aorta and we were just kind of like "haha yeah, obviously we all know that...(not)" but it's really cool. I feel super blessed because there are a lot of people to talk to and get career advice from, and in the two dinner appointments I've been to we've had really interesting gospel and medical discussions. So I'm looking forward to all I have here to learn in Rochester.

On Saturday night three of the sisters from the Minneapolis ward drove all the way down to Rochester to take Hermana Davis and me out to dinner, because we both served in that ward, and it was so fun to see a familiar face so soon after I got here, and such a joy to spend some time with those Hermanas I love so much.

This week I was studying Jacob 5 again. I absolutely love reading Jacob 5 in relation to missionary work, it suddenly makes so much more sense. The Lord requires a lot of his missionaries, but it is so inspiring that everything he requires us to do, he does it right along with us.
"And the Lord of the vineyard said unto them: Go to, and labor in the vineyard, with your might. For behold, this is the last time that I shall nourish my vineyard; for the end is nigh at hand, and the season speedily cometh; and if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy in the fruit which I shall lay up unto myself against the time which will soon come. And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things." (Jacob 5: 71-72) He labors with us. He never expects us to do it alone. He did it all before, He did it all for us in Gethsemane, and on Calvary, and he walks this road with us every single day.

Love you all!
Hermana Meredith

"Happy Are We" (January 8, 2018)

Dear family and friends,
This has been the most INCREDIBLE week! So many miracles and funny moments and tender mercies I don't even know where to begin.

The Lord blessed us with so many amazing new investigators this week. There is one girl, Emily, who we got as a referral 5 weeks ago. She is a teenager, and the English missionaries had found her and just sent us her address. We decided to stop by, and right as we did they were just finishing moving out of their house. We were able to help them move a few boxes and bags and get Emily's phone number real quick as we explainedwhat we do as missionaries, then they got in their car and drove away to their new house. It was crazy because if we had come five minutes later they would have already been gone and we wouldn't have been able to get in contact with her. We finally were able to set an appointment with her this week, and she is so solid. She has a lot of questions about religion, she has gone to a church all growing up, but doesn't really understand the doctrine, and as we were talking about the restoration she kept saying "wow! That makes so much sense!" And she was really excited to start reading the Book of Mormon, and wants to come to church and come to Young women's, and it was so exciting and refreshing to see someone so happy to learn.

We were very sad to hear the news this week of President Monson's passing. I am so grateful for his life of dedicated service and love for the Lord and for the saints. Yesterday, we were having a lesson with a returning to activity member couple. We watched "The Power of the Book of Mormon", President Monson's final conference address from April 2017. And I definitely started tearing up, because you can tell how old and fragile he was getting, but also because I love his powerful message. Read the Book of Mormon, and you will better be able to withstand the adversary and have the spirit in your lives. What an amazing last promise from the prophet of the Lord. Then last night at a member dinner we watched the video, Dare to Stand Alone, and we were all crying. President Monson will be missed.

I don't known if I've mentioned this before, well I know I say it all the time, but we have the most amazing members. They never cease to astound me. Saturday night, our ward mission leader and his family had a birthday party for me and Hermana Hopkins, because our birthdays are a week apart, and they still felt so bad about not doing anything last week. Holy cow, Hispanics know how to have a birthday party! I have never laughed so hard and eaten so much food in my life (including 12 course Christmas eve, mom). They had our whole district over and a bunch of other members from the ward. Hna Matus is an amazing cook, so she taught us how to make papusas, one of my absolute favorite foods, they're little pockets of beans and cheese that you put in dough then you cook them on the stove and they are so delicious. And then of course, it wouldn't be a party without at least 3 different cakes, cheesecake, and tres leches, both of my favorites. Tradition in many Latino countries is we all gather around the cake and sing happy birthday, in English, then after you blow out the candles, everyone starts chanting "que lo muerde, que lo muerde!" And if it's your birthday your supposed to take a bite out of the cake. Just lean down and take a big bite out of the side. We both got to do it, and I just went for it, but Hna Hopkins kind of hesitated right before she took a bite, so one of the elders and our members pushed her into the cake, and it was sloop funny we set dying, there was frosting everywhere. Needless to say, it was the best birthday party I've ever had, and there is no other way I would habe wanted to spend my 20th birthday, then with these amazing people I love so much.

The saddest part of the day was getting a phone call from the APs last night that President has asked that I move again, this time to go to Rochester to be a sister training leader. And Hermana Hopkins is staying here to train and I am so excited for her! These past six weeks with this ward have flown by, and I have grown to love them already, and I'm sad I don't get more time with them. However I am so grateful that I was here for Christmas and New Year's and my birthday and this wonderful holiday season, I would not have wanted to experience it anywhere else, and as hard as these six weeks have been, I will forever be grateful for them. For the miracles I have seen and the things I've learned.

We had an activity with the young men and young women this week where we watched "17 Miracles" And I thought two things: 1. I'm never complaining about how cold it is here again 2. The words of the hymn, "We are all Enlisted:"

Fighting for a kingdom, and the world is our foe;
Happy are we! Happy are we!
Glad to join the army, we will sing as we go;
We shall gain the vict’ry by and by.
Dangers may gather—why should we fear?
Jesus, our Leader, ever is near.
He will protect us, comfort, and cheer.
We’re joyfully, joyfully marching to our home.

In the midst of it all, the cry of the saints is "happy are we!"  Because the joy of the everlasting gospel fills our souls and we know that Christ is on our side, lifting us, guiding us, carrying our pains and our sorrows, and yet he is the happiest of all, as he sees and helps God's children marching back to our Heavenly Father.

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." (January 1, 2018)

Happy New Year!!

Christmas was great! And getting to talk to my family was the best present ever. And thank you so much to everyone for the cards and the gifts and helping light up our world with the Christmas spirit.

IT IS SO COLD

I did not know it was possible to be this cold. We have been sitting at around -14 degrees all week, with a wind chill of -35. Which means it is really cold. We got a lovely notice that we can't go outside with any exposed skin for more than 10 minutes otherwise we might get hypothermia. Or our skin might freeze off. And we get really excited now when it gets up to -5 degrees now.

But we're not letting that stop us from doing missionary work. Honestly, this week has been kind of hard because no one has been willing to set up appointments with us. We called everyone, and even our solid investigators all said "let's just wait until after the holidays, after the new year." So we've been doing a lot of finding, knocking doors, and service, because if you can't get into Ammonihah one way, you just gotta try a different entrance. We had a really beautiful restoration lesson this week. I have been trying really hard to focus teaching the restoration to personal needs, because we teach it so much sometimes it can get kind of repetitive. And it was so cool how as we listened to the spirit, we were lead to ask questions we wouldn't have normally asked that helped us to address her specific concerns.

There are 4 sisters in our ward who are going to be giving birth to boys either this week or next week, so this weekend we had a giant baby shower for all of them (fun fact in Spanish to say give birth it's "dar a luz" which literally means "to give a light" awwww, cute right?)

Saturday was Hermana Hopkins Birthday!! So we had a fun day. We ate with our ward mission leader and his family, who had originally cancelled our dinner because they weren't gonna be there, then at the last minute they rescheduled, so we didn't let them know it was her birthday because we kind of forgot and didn't want them to feel really bad. But when we were there I let it slip, and they freaked out, "How could you not tell us it was your birthday?! We would have had a party! We could have gotten a cake!" So they got some mexican bread, and we couldn't find any candles,so we put a little umbrella in it, and sang happy birthday. It was the cutest birthday cake ever.

I finished reading the Book of Mormon yesterday, which means I met my goal to read the entire Book of Mormon in the month of December. I learned so much, words can't begin to describe. I will always be grateful for my mission and the testimony that I have gained of the truthfulness of the restoration of the gospel because of the Book of Mormon. I really learned that missionary work goes on forever. I think as missionaries we think it's just for this brief time here on our missions that we are sharing the gospel. When really, it is forever. In Moroni chapter 7, he is talking about miracles and angels. "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, have miracles ceased because Christ hath ascended into heaven?...Behold I say unto you Nay; neither have angels ceased to minister unto the children of men. For behold, they are subject unto him, to minister according to the word of his command, showing themselves unto them of strong faith and a firm mind in every form of godliness. And the office of their ministry is to call men unto repentance, and to fulfil and to do the work of the covenants of the Father, which he hath made unto the children of men, to prepare the way among the children of men, by declaring the word of Christ unto the chosen vessels of the Lord, that they may bear testimony of him."

So, we learn some of what angels do and how they minister:
They are subject unto the father and his command
They show themselves to those of a strong faith
Their ministry is to call men unto repentance and
They declare the word of Christ.

There are thousands of these kinds of angels in the world today, I have met many of them, and I feel privileged to be among their ranks for this short period of time. I know there are many other angels that God sends us in our moments of needs. God's miracles haven't ceased. In Matthew 30, Jesus is going about to all the cities and villages, teaching and preaching, healing sicknesses and disease. And as it is describing his miracles, one in specific is found at the end of the chapter "But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."

THIS work, is one of his miracles. I know the miracles of God have not ceased in this day. He still sends angels. He still works miracles. Because God does not slumber, neither doth he sleep. He needs his missionaries, and he needs his members, and he needs his children to be there fore him to bring to pass these mighty miracles.

We just have to have the faith to see them. "For it is by faith that miracles are wrought; and it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men; wherefore, if these things have ceased wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief, and all is in vain."

With this new year, no matter where you may be in your spiritual journey, or what your individual beliefs may be about God, please take some time to consider what you can do this year to show him a little more faith. And I promise that you will see these miracles in your life. because I have seen them in mine.

I love you all very much! I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store.

New Years Eve/Birthday Celebrations

Hermana Hopkins Birthday Cake

Carmencita! This really sweet old woman in our ward we visit.
