"Be of good cheer!" (March 12, 2018)

So this is gonna be short, but some highlights of the week:

Going to primary to present the ward mission plan, because primary kids are the cutest and it's the best way to spend church

None of our investigators were free to come to church yesterday because if work and vacation, and we were kind of disappointed, but when we got there, a less-active member we have been trying to meet with for forever with no success, showed up with her boyfriend and her two little girls and it was a miracle!

We had Missionary Leadership Council this past week, when all the mission leaders go up to Bloomington for a conference. We had a bunch of really good trainings about what makes a good leader, and we got to stop at the one Costa Vida in Minnesota for dinner on the way back!
Honestly, this week has been a little slow. We couldn't set up appointments with any of our solid investigators, and there have been a lot of problems with the other missionaries in the zone we've been trying to help with, which has all left us pretty overwhelmed. But this week I have found a lot of comfort in John 16:33,

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
It's not "if" we have tribulation, but we "shall" have tribulation in the world. That was part of the plan we fully agreed to when we came here. There always shall be tribulation, but Christ has overcome it, and through him, we can overcome it as well. Because of Christ, we may always be of good cheer.
I am so grateful for the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my savior, and because of him nothing can ever go eternally wrong. And I know he always knows exactly what we are going through. And all that happens in our lives is for our benefit and will give us experience, in preparation for things to come and in preparation to serve others in need.

I love you all and have an amazing week!!
