"I feel like shouting Hallelujah all the time!" (July 9, 2018)

It has been another great week in the merry old land of Richfield!

Highlights:
Zone Conference!! We had some great trainings on how to do some fundamentals of missionary work, which really helped Hermana Powell and I get a better handle on everything.
I also got to share my departing testimony *tears* but I was a little proud. Because I remember my first zone conference ages ago when all the missionaries who were about to go home shared their testimonies, and I wasn't sure if I would ever get to that point, but it was spiritual to be able to take a moment and look back at these past 17 months and the things I have learned and the person Christ has shown me I can be.

At a pass off lesson with this awesome lady from Cuba the English elders found, and as we were teaching her the restoration, the elders were showing the kids church pictures on their tablets to try to help them stay quiet, and upon seeing the Salt Lake Temple, one of them asked, "Is that the Disneyland Castle?"

Some of the people we are teaching are facing some difficulties in progressing, but that's ok! We are praying and working with them still and have high hopes that everything will work out. We are doing all we can to be unashamed of the gospel of Christ, and feel like we are stalkers sometimes, but we cannot be restrained because we have the truth and we want to share it! One night we were driving, and saw a hispanic family walking on the side of the road. So we casually pulled over on the next road, and walked back so we would run into them on the way back. One of them turned out to be a very passionate member of a different church, and spent about 45 minutes telling us all about how wrong we are, but listened with love, and in the end he took a Book of Mormon and told us he might read it someday, haha.

President Brigham Young said “I feel like shouting Hallelujah, all the time, when I think that I ever knew Joseph Smith, the Prophet whom the Lord raised up and ordained, and to whom He gave keys and power to build up the kingdom of God on earth.” I LOVE that, because I really feel like shouting Hallelujah all the time, because God is so great, and is so merciful, and gives us so many chances and so many opportunities to learn. He loves us so much, and I am so grateful for everything he has taught me. And I am so grateful for the restored gospel and this wonderful message we get to share. There is always something to shout Hallelujah about!

Love you all and thank you for your support!!
